All AVU students and staff are entitled to access. There is no need to request an account — just set a password for eduroam here.
Your username is always in the format of your email: firstname.lastname@avu.cz (e.g. jan.novak@avu.cz). Using just the username without the @avu.cz domain is not possible.
Before using eduroam for the first time you need to set a login password. You can set your eduroam password in the interface
on the left.
Sign in with your AVU account. Once signed in, use the "Set EDUROAM password" section. Sign out of the portal using the "Sign out" button in the top right.
Continue by setting up the connection to the eduroam network.
Network name (SSID): eduroam
Username: your email
Password: the one you just set
Modern operating systems already include the software needed to connect.
Please follow the rules for using AVU's computer networks and the eduroam roaming policy. The network uses automatic IP address assignment via DHCP. Users receive private IP addresses which are then translated to public ones.
If you run into any problems, please contact AVU network administration: helpdesk@avu.cz
Visitors with their own eduroam account can connect with no further steps. If you don't have an account or don't know your password, please contact your home organisation's support.
